Welcome to the March Challenge for Serendipity Stamps! This month the challenge is Spring Fever! You can get all the details over on the Serendipity Challenge Blog. For the Design Team, we have the added challenge of using crystal effects on our cards.  And as always, we have a  have a gift certificate up for grabs to a random player and the sale this week is free shipping on all US orders of $15 or more. Good through 3/25.
For my Spring card, rain, umbrellas, flowers and showers come to mind when I think of Spring. I started by sponging a white panel from the top left corner down using the yellow inks and sponging the pink inks from the right corner up. I die cut the center panel out of the larger one using the stitched rectangle then stamped the flower corner w/ black in the upper left. I added just a bit more color to the flowers and leaves with Copics and used a white gel pen in the flower centers. After masking the flower corner, I stamped the beaded string background with white ink and white embossed it. I wiped a bit of the ink off the lower edge to make it an angled background.
I added some crystals to some of the dots and some clear dimensional glue (the closest thing I had to crystal effects) on the rest. It was also added to all the flower centers. You can probably see it a little better in the picture above. A few extra flowers were fussy cut and added here & there. The umbrella was die cut out of white & also vellum, the center was replaced w/ the vellum & the lacy topper added along with greeting. I added a narrow white layer under the top layer and attached it back on top of the original panel. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used on the flowers.
I used smaller sponged panel & umbrella on the inside along with the sponged Congratulations die cut.

Wow Julie! I didn’t even recognize that background stamp with the gorgeous bling. Wonderful card inside and out!
Wowza, the first card blows out of the water. Love all the details. The waterdrops are wonderful for your umbrella.
Wow is that background ever amazing! Love the rasperry lemonade and how they softly blend together. The dots? swoon! Really extra ordinary Julie!
wow, this is gorgeous! Awesome design.
Julie I love so many things about this card I don’t know where to begin! I’m stunned by how beautiful the Flower Lace Corner looks with your coloring and how you added extra flowers “showering” down. The Beaded Strings background stamps makes the perfect rain shower – so clever! And your setting of the Pink Congratulations die over the yellow background is just delicious! You never cease to amaze me!
Gorgeous as always!, love how you used the beaded background…wonderful!
Great dimensional card Julie!! I just had to make that umbrella like yours.
Loving the umbrella and spring theme. What a fabulous idea to use the corner flower…so smart! Just beautiful, Julie!
Beautiful card…with great dimension, and pretty spring colors!
