Happy New Year! It’s my pleasure to host the first Inspiration Challenge (IC839) of 2022 over at Splitcoast & I’ve chosen a site called Distinctivs & their Pinterest Board where I was inspired by THIS pic & also THIS one.

For my baby shower card, after stamping, colors & die cutting the baby ellie, I die cut the 4 baby blocks out of pink & again out of white. I replaced the centers w/ the white & stamped the letters using Distress spun sugar. The umbrella was die cut out of a lg paint chip & the top was popped up a bit. I used a pair of rectangle dies to make the wide pink frame & I also popped it up w/ foam. The rest was just arranging it all on top of a gray bg & adding the little pink raindrops.

These are the Copics I used on the ellie:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:

Stamps: Rubbernecker Stamps: Babies on Balloons set, Toy Blocks & Letters Combo
Paper:  Staples 110# white,  X-Press pink, pink paint chip, gray
Ink: Distress spun sugar, Memento tuxedo black
Accessories:  Rubbernecker Stamps:  Rectangle Stitch,  Rectangles, Babies on Balloons, Umbrella  dies, Copic Sketch Markers, Misti,

A big congrats to Mickey, the newest Featured Stamper (FS765) on Splitcoast! She has a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout & scalloped layers in gradient colors, but I used different images, dies, different colors & left off the embossing.

For my fairly easy card, after coloring the baby elephant & balloons, I die cut them & added fun foam to the ellie & 1 balloon, & cardboard to 1 balloon. The gradually darker pink layers were cut w/ a wave die (which had the scallops I wanted), attached to an ivory layer then die cut. I didn’t stick the pink layers entirely down so they’d have a little lift like Mickey’s did. The greeting was stamped & some pink ribbon across the top, then the ellie & balloons. I separated a piece of black embroidery thread into 3 for the balloon strings & added a few pink gems.

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge, we’re headed to Elle Decor where I found THIS picture.

For my baby girl card, I die cut the toy blocks out of white, pink & green then paper pieced before stamping the letters on them. I used foam to pop them up a bit & a little green/white twine to “hang” them from before attaching the envelope like topper. The topper is slightly elevated but not so much that it won’t fit into a normal A2 envelope & it will go thru the mail w/ no problem.
