Happy New Year! It’s my pleasure to host the first Inspiration Challenge (IC839) of 2022 over at Splitcoast & I’ve chosen a site called Distinctivs & their Pinterest Board where I was inspired by THIS pic & also THIS one.

For my baby shower card, after stamping, colors & die cutting the baby ellie, I die cut the 4 baby blocks out of pink & again out of white. I replaced the centers w/ the white & stamped the letters using Distress spun sugar. The umbrella was die cut out of a lg paint chip & the top was popped up a bit. I used a pair of rectangle dies to make the wide pink frame & I also popped it up w/ foam. The rest was just arranging it all on top of a gray bg & adding the little pink raindrops.

These are the Copics I used on the ellie:

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge (FS589) on Splitcoast. So a big congrats to Wanda, the newest Featured Stamper! She has a lovely gallery & I chose THIS to case. I kept the wheelbarrow full of flowers & most of the layout, but I used different images, different colors & added some little birds on a branch.

For my wheelbarrow, I wanted a softer look, so I stamped it in gray. It made it very close to a “no line” coloring & because the flowers are small, made it a little harder to color. I did the same to the little birds on the branch & fussy cut both. After I had the front linen panel layered to a soft lavender one, I lined up where I wanted the wheelbarrow & stamped just the little swirls in gray on the bg.

Here’s the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Today’s Ways to Use It Challenge (WT605) is ways to use Umbrellas. It reminded me of this Wedding Shower card I made a while back & totally forgot to post!  double-umbrella-happiness-06183
I stamped the little love birds, greeting & umbrellas & colored them w/ Copics. I also did a third umbrella on a separate piece to cut out & pop up on top of the love birds. After dry embossing the panel, I thought it still looked a little empty in areas so I took out a black Micron pen & doodled the vines/flowers in the opposite corners then added a Candi dot to the upper left.

Here are the Copics I used.
