For today’s  Free For All Challenge (F4A264) on Splitcoast, the challenge is to let the sunshine in! So I made a quick little get well card  to hopefully cheer up someone who’s under the weather.

The images are all from DRS Designs. I just love this new umbrella image and it’s not only perfect for baby/bridal showers it’s also perfect for get well cards. I stamped the polka dot bg first w/ the rosebud ink and colored in sections w/ a Copic marker before cutting it out. The greeting was die cut and sponged w/ a little lt blue ink w/ the die still in place. I added some raindrops here and there using the 2 blue inks. I had a die cut sunflower sitting around so I used it for my sun behind the die cut clouds. I drew a little puddle, cut it out and attached it along w/ a few raindrop stickers to complete my 5.50 x 4.25 card.

  • Blue Dogwoods

This is another for today’s Free for All challenge (F4A109) on Splitcoast…use 3 or more of something. And this one is really CAS (clean & simple). I definitely used more than 3 of the dogwood image and added 3 dots of the black enamel accents under the sentiment. There are also 5 score lines going down the left side.

The images are DRS Designs and are new this month. The main image has the 2 dogwoods paper pieced w/ blue cut outs. The blue dogwoods on the strip were accented w/ a white chalk marker. The card is 5.50 x 4.25.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • Hope

Believe it or not, but this IS the sketch from today’s challenge on Splitcoast (SC375)! It just got a little covered up. My circle had to be bigger and then I added the fussy cut dogwoods and poof! The horizontal and vertical bands mostly disappeared.

The images are all from DRS Designs and the Hope quote and dogwoods are a sneak peek of new images to be released on Sat. 3/10/12. I’m really loving these dogwoods! Here I stamped them in lightning black and very quickly added just a hint of shading w/ two markers then cut them out. I know, I know…most people don’t care for the fussy cutting, but I like it, lol. And I’ve gotten really quick with it. It took me about 7 or 8 min. to cut out the 3 bunches of dogwoods.

For the quote circle, I stamped the stained glass image w/ the lightning black then stamped the quote over it w/ black before die cutting it. The little left over crescent moon shape is what was left and I kinda liked it so I added some sponged on gold leafing and put it back.

The strips were stamped w/ the stained glass image and the gold ink and a solid strip added on top. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
