Need a quick card to congratulate someone? This would be great for a graduation, job promotion, any occasion that merits a congratulion. The colors will work great for a guy as well as a girl. You could even change up the colors to go with the school colors to make it more personal. Change the greeting and you have a birthday card.?
It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge FS958 so a big congrats to Lisa! She has a fun gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the Congrats theme & stars, but used different dies, colors, paper & rotated the layout to horizontal.
To make my card, I picked the paper first, since everything is die cut & I don’t have to match an image. I liked the teal & charcoal color combo and thought it would work well for a masculine card. The paper was cut w/ the largest rectangle die & I added a narrow charcoal mat behind it. Two smaller rectangles were die cut out of pale teal & dk teal for the center. The stars & streamers were cut out of all of the same papers. The greeting & shadow were cut & popped up w/ 2 layers of cardboard to give them a little separation from the background. The edges of the overlapping stars were also popped up to level them with center panel. Here’s a hint on using cardboard: if you don’t want it to show, use a marker the color of your paper to go around the edges. It will blend in perfectly, even when viewed from the side.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
