Wishing You

Need a quick and stylish birthday card? How about an all around birthday card..good for guys or gals, young and old. It’s also easy to customize by changing the colors and band of designer paper in the middle. You can make several with different colors and shaped balloons and have them on hand when needed.

A big Congrats to Nicole, the newest Featured Stamper FS942! She has a terrific gallery & there are several I would love to case. After much browsing, I chose THIS card. I kept the Birthday theme, balloons & split front panel, but I used different colors & dies & moved the stamped part of the greeting to the top section.

I started by first die cutting the top white panel w/ a stitched rectangle die. Then I picked where I wanted to divide it & did so using a classic edger die. A narrow piece of the maroon paper was added under the cut edges before I attached the balloon paper in between the top & bottom panel. Since the panel as a whole, was now taller than it should be, I put the front panel back into the stitched rectangle die, matching up the bottom & sides, then ran it thru to cut the top part of it to normal size. This panel is attached to a slightly larger navy blue piece before I attached it to the A2 card. The Wishing You is part of greeting & the rest was masked off before I stamped it, by covering the unneeded part w/ a piece of scotch tape. The die cut Happy Birthday was cut one out of white, once out of maroon & cardboard to pop it up. The white top was attached slightly shifted to the left to let the maroon show. After it was added, I die cut 3 balloons & added them.

Thanks
so much for stopping by!
