  • Snowmen Christmas

Posted on November 9, 2019 10:08 PM by Julie Comment

A big Congrats to Lora, the newest Featured Stamper (FS666) on Splitcoast! She has sweet  gallery & there were a lot of different snowmen cards, but I was mostly influenced by THIS card. I kept the group of snowmen & similar horizontal layout, but I used different images & dies, different colors & moved the greeting.

After stamping, coloring & die cutting the snowmen, I also die cut a pine green frame to go on top & a red scallop frame to go underneath. The greeting is good size so I only used the top half, die cut it then cut a slit to insert the corner of the image inside. I just love that little bunny on the right, attempting to eat the carrot.

Here are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

NCC Tommy Turkey 04862On my first card, I’m using the adorable Tommy Turkey. This little guy just makes me smile 🙂 I know turkeys aren’t usually this colorful but I wanted him all decked out in his Thanksgiving finery. We have a flock of wild turkeys that come through our back yard pretty regularly and I can assure you they are nowhere near as cute & colorful as this little guy. After coloring, I did a little out of the box on the tips of his feathers and sponged a little color around the inside while he was still in the die. I added a rusty brown frame and a few layers behind him. The stamped, die cut leaves and greeting are from Our Daily Bread designs. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.

My second card uses the really cute Snowman Family set. Don’t they look like they’re having a great time? After stamping & coloring, I added a little Copic opaque white paint for snow on the tree and ground and also for the clouds.

After adding a white die cut frame on top, I white embossed some snowflakes on a piece of blue paper from the ODBD Christian Faith paper collection then attached it underneath my image. The greeting was stamped on a small oval and a stamped, die cut blue snowflake was attached on top. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.

A big congrats to Debby, the newest Featured Stamper (FS391) on Splitcoast! She has wonderful gallery and I found quite a few I wanted to case, but I was really drawn to THIS card with its cute little snowman and wonderful colors. I kept the snowman theme and colors, but I used different images, different die cuts and made my own patterned paper instead of using designer paper.

I stamped the three snowmen, colored them and cut them out. I didn’t have the cute little die cut hillside Debby used, so I die cut a similar one a couple of times then added it some white hills for my snowy background. On the blue bg, I used some white pigment ink to stamp a snowflake background & I used a polka dot border & the same ink on blue frame. For the white frame, I used some soft pool ink and a chevron border image to stamp it. The greeting is part of a larger one & I used a SAMJ to position just the 3 words then die cut it w/ a diamond shaped die. The trees die cuts actually started out much fuller & w/ leaves, but I cut them off to resemble winter trees. I added a little stickles to the snowflake bg and buttons on the snowmen. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.

Congrats again, Debby! Thanks so much for stopping by!
