Pink Wishes

A CAS birthday card using an embedded flower die, a little sparkle & some pretty new dies.

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC907) we are visiting The House of Awareness & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS picture.

My card is pretty CAS. I die cut the flowers & leaf branch once out of white & again out of pink. Also, after die cutting the green panel, I cut the same flowers out of it & embedded the white version w/ the pink behind the outline. The pink leaf branch was added on top w/ the white inserts inside the leaves. I added stickles to the insides for a little sparkle.

The Wishes w/ shadow greeting was popped up just a bit & I added a circle element in the upper right corner. The Birthday was stamped just above & a pink layer was added behind the green.

Pink Marigolds

Pink Marigolds birthday card w/ a stenciled panel & fancy die cut edge. Not hard to make & sure to make a special birthday girl smile.

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge (FS845), so a big congrats to Susan! She has such a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I liked the flower peeking out from under the top layer & the stenciling so I kept those. But I used different images, dies & colors & made mine a birthday card.

After stenciling the white panel, I die cut just the right edge w/ a fancy rectangle die then cut the left off straight. I placed a piece of turquoise just under the right edge & trimmed around it. The flowers were all colored & die cut then placed under the stenciled panel. A larger turquoise panel was attached to the card front than the flowers & stenciled layer. I thought it needed a greeting but since I’d already put the card together, I used a small stamped & die cut birthday greeting. I didn’t want to take a chance on messing up if I stamped right onto the stenciled layer.

The die cut greeting was popped up just a bit.

Hibiscus Hugs

A card w/ lovely big blooms & a fab new die set for the layers. I also show how to change a previously pink flower into a red flower.

It’s my turn to host the Inspiration Challenge (IC904) & I chose Playing Card Decks & their Pinterest Board. I was thinking..hmm April Fool’s Day which led me to Joker which led me to Playing Cards & here we are. I selected THIS pretty deck as my inspiration. It’s a poppy but it reminded me of this pretty new floral set which may or may not be a hibiscus but it looks like one from above & that’s my story & I’m sticking to it.

Originally I had colored this in pinks but I went back in & added some reds to change it up. (You can see the original pink color in the Copics pic below.) I die cut 2 white layers & backed them w/ peach layers. The hibiscus was fussy cut & it and the top layer were popped up a bit.

It’s an easy card since I let the layers do all the work.
