On my first card, I used the fabulous Let it Snow set. This was such fun to color! After die cutting it, I added a dk red layer then a layer from the beautiful Christmas paper 2014 collection, then another dk red layer I cut using the largest die from last month’s Flourished Star Pattern die set. I used the gorgeous Peaceful Poinsettia dies to cut the poinsettia from the dk red, Christmas paper and white paper then layered them together. I also added some gold die cut flourishes and leaves from the Fancy Foliage die set. The greeting was stamped with the peony chalk ink and die cut using a circle die. The dk red circle was die cut using the circle from the Recipe Tag die set.The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used. I will mention here, that originally I used a few reds to color the bow…but then decided it was too red to go with paper so I used the blender to remove most of the red and added the pink.

On my second card, I used the new American Hero set to stamp my greeting in two colors and the coordinating Mini Tags die to cut it. I wanted the hole on both ends, so I cut the entire tag, embossed it, then flipped the die around to cut the hole on the other end. I embossed just this area so it would match. I colored 2 white mini brads w/ a dk red Copic to match the fabulous new Patriotic paper.Â
The largest star from the Sparkling Star dies was used to cut the star out of the striped paper and I backed this layer w/ the navy blue chevron paper. I also used two stars to die cut a white star frame to insert. The eagle was stamped and I used a red Copic to color some of his feathers. He was fussy cut and attached on top of the star cut out. The small stars (from the Home of the Free set) were stamped & die cut with one of the smaller star dies. I added a red, white & blue banner across the top with a fussy cut little flag in the center.Â
