It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge (FS745) this week, so a big congrats to Robyn! She has a lovely gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the big purple blooms, but used different images & dies, & changed the layout a bit.

For my card, I used a lovely, clear layering flower set & started w/ a lt rose colored ink on the solid (1st) layer. Since it was in my Misti, I stamped it again using the lightest purple ink w/ a touch of medium blue around the edges. Then I lined up the 2nd layer & stamped it w/ a darker purple & used a bit of darker blue in the shadow areas. The final layer was stamped using the next to darkest purple w/ some dark blue in the shadow areas. I like mixing up the colors to give it more depth. The leaves were done in 2 colors of green then they were die cut w/ their matching dies. I used a narrow layer of textured dk green down the left side & the narrow purple strip on the right was sponged w/ the purple inks in order to match the flower.

Congrats to Teresa, the newest Featured Stamper (FS691)! She has lovely gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the framed floral w/ greeting underneath, but I used different images, changed the oval layers to rectangular, & made mine a sympathy card.

For my sympathy card, I’m using these lovely calla lilies & a stained glass oval on top.  The lily & frame are all one image, but I didn’t want the stained glass on top of the word frame, so I did them separately. I could have just left off the word framing, but I like how the big sympathy greeting echos the word frame. I die cut the white frame & inside rectangle first, then stamped the 2 parts of the lily & added a green frame. After coloring the lily, I stamped the stained glass on top w/ the gray ink & added just a hint of color here & there. I also added just a bit of color to the large greeting.

Here are the Copics I used:

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC703), we heading over to Ballard Designs & I was inspired by THIS picture. I like the blue & white floral on the oval back chair.

My sympathy card is pretty simple…I die cut the long stem flower out of white & blue then placed the white outline on top of the blue version. The bottom section is an inked embossing folder border I thought mimicked the flower. I had to do a little out of the box on the greeting using a partial die cut shape. Some liquid pearls dots were added here & there after I added the blue, white & marbled blue layers.
