Today’s Clean & Simple Challenge (CAS335) is all about the beach! I thought these shells, waves & mermaid would fit right in. The hardest part about this card was finding an ink that would stick to this shimmery lt. teal card stock.
I wanted to stamp the shells & highlight the seahorse & waves with a blue ink & I only have Stazon in white & black. I tried Distress ink, Memento, Chalk ink..nothing would stick. Until I got out my Ancient Page. Success! Â So after stamping & coloring the mermaid, I fussy cut her & the stamped shells. The waves & seahorse were die cut & highlighted w/ ink. The circle burst was also die cut & I used the white Stazon to stamp the wave pattern inside.Â
After it was all attached to the card, I stamped the greeting & added stickles for sparkle. These are the Copics I used on the mermaid.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out the DRS Thursday Challenge…A Stitch in Time (faux or real stitching). DRS images are not required & there’s a nice prize up for grabs!
