Moose Lights

A light hearted Christmas card featuring a funny moose all tangled up in Christmas lights. He has cute little bluebird friend and a stenciled background of lights on a string. Sure to make the recipient smile.

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge (FS915) so a big congrats to Judy! She has terrific gallery & after much browsing, I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout & winter/holiday theme, but used different images, dies & colors. I also moved the greeting & left off the ribbon & snowflakes.

After coloring & die cutting the tangled moose & little bird, I die cut the greeting square & lg white background along w/ 2 cobalt blue scallop layers. I used a stencil & some bright inks for the lights, then added a white highlight on them w/ a white gel pen. The moose & little bird are popped up a bit.

Christmas Berries

A Christmas card with a lot of options. It uses a large, all over stamp and included border and greeting. The large image can all be colored, left uncolored, used in part or whole. Another option is to use the border w/ the greeting, die cut it and pop it up on top of the background.

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC976)we are visiting Spoonflower & their Pinterest Board. I was inspired byTHIS fabric. It also had a green version so I combined them for my card.

I stamped the large, all over background onto green & used Prismacolor pencils to color it in. The coordinating border & greeting were stamped on white & colored w/ Copics. I wanted curved edges on the bottom so I positioned a mid size arch die on end, cut it, then turned it around & cut the other lower edge. Two snowflake & scallop borders were cut out of red & backed w/ white. I used a large corner rounder punch on the lower red snowflake border.

Poinsettias & Snowflakes

The new big, layered Poinsettia and Snowflake Edger dies make this card a breeze to put together. Elegant and not hard to make. There are 2 more larger layers to this Poinsettia set so you could opt to have one big bloom instead. Also easy to change up the colors and paper you use.

A big congrats to mazzybear, the newest Featured Stamper (FS914). She has a truly wonderful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout & poinsettias, but used different dies, paper & colors. Instead of a greeting across the bottom, I used a snowflake edger.

After die cutting the 3 poinsettia layers out of white, I die cut the largest of the three 3 times out of a vanilla color. I stacked the 3 sizes, offsetting the petals & also added some small circles of cardboard between the layers to give them a little dimension, Originally I had planned to use the Reindeer print paper on top, but it looked too busy to me, so I cut 2 of the snowflake strips from the paper & flipped it over to use the red side. The snowflake strips were attached at the top & bottom. The snowflake edger was used on a white piece, then trimmed down to end just where the poinsettias would be attached.
