Beach More

How about a fun, dimensional beach scene card? It just screams summer vacay! Great for a summer birthday or for a friend taking a trip to the islands or beach. Or just to say hi. These new dies are just so fun. I combinded several here along with a new Day at the Beach set.

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge FS954, so a big congrats to Roxie! She has a fun little gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the beach theme & greenery, but changed the layout & colors, used different dies & added a frame on top & designer paper instead of the strip framing.

For my card, I die cut the beach stand out of gray, then used white ink to give it that sunbleached look. The thatch top was lt green w/ green & tan ink blended onto it. The 2 surfboards were paper pieced & the flamingo uses 3 shades of pink & has a little pink ink brushed around some areas. The deckled frame topper has 2 card board layers behind it, then I added the hut & popped them all up with a layer of foam before adding the beachy paper behind them. I like the dimension & separation it gives the different pieces from each other & the background. The short greeting was split on top & bottom with the flamingo & tropical greenery added in the corner on top.

Thanks
so much for stopping by!
