A pretty, mostly monochromatic flower card featuring some beautiful new dies and a background made using die cuts as a stencil. Easy way to make everything match! Just pick your colors, die cut some flowers & use some of them as a stencil, and add a greeting.
For the Inspiration Challenge IC1011, we are visiting Amicreative & their Pinterest Boards where I was inspired by THIS picture. I liked the colors & floral print.
To make my card, I started by picking out the ink colors. These happen to be my favorite colors, so it was easy! The flowers & branches were all die cut out of white. I used detail blending brushes to add a little color in the centers before shaping them & attaching them all together. I knew I wasn’t going to have a printed paper to go with them, so I die cut a couple of large branches out of thin white card stock to use as stencils. After putting a little removable adhesive on the backs, I used the inks & some large blending brushes to brush ink around them. The branches were moved around on the background, so that some were left white & others were on top of ink already there. It gives them depth & interest this way.
Above is the background before I added everything on top. I picked a dk teal for the center & backing up the white dot dash frame. Then all the flowers, leaves & branches were arranged & a greeting was added.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
