Flying Monkeys

I made this for the final Dare to Get Dirty challenge for 2019 at Splitcoaststampers. Lydia shared a video HERE for an easy technique using a gel plate, acrylic paint & a small object. (You may have to be a Fan Club Member to view the forum. Click the blue link to find out how.) It looked interesting & easy so I gave it a try.

I ended up doing 2 pressings of the gel print. The first time, I put neon yellow & neon orange paint onto my gel plate, pressed & slid the object (it happened to be an empty plastic ring from my ATG gun) then pressed the white card onto to it & rubbed. It didn’t look quite dramatic enough, so I repeated the process using black paint & pressed it to the same piece of card. I like it, but it’s awfully busy. I thought the colors would fit a Halloween card so I die cut all the pieces & arranged them as you see. I used a few fluorescent Copics to add color to the roof & windows & added the die cut ground out of neon orange card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
