Christmas Poinsettia

Christmas Poinsettia cu 04830
Wow! No. 500 for the Color Challenges (CC500)! Seems we’re having a month of anniversaries. Last week was 400 for the Featured Stamper so we have a ways to go!

For my card, I went with the Winter Colors. Love these colors together! I’m also combining with Susie’s HYCCT challenge to use music. I die cut all the poinsettias out of white (the smaller ones are ODBD, the 1 big one & the leaves are Spellbinders & I love how they complement each other). I used the Distress Inks to sponge on the color then stamped the music in black on top.

After spending 45 minutes trying to find dp to go with this, I finally gave up & made my own by sponging on the blues & greens then stamping the music again. Added an embossed white layer, a die cut ornament w/ the greeting stamped on a leftover of the bg, & a few sequins.

  2. Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. I love how you used the sheet music. I was putting ideas together yesterday and thought about doing the same with my poinsettia die. Love how you added the green tips to the flower.
