Such a wonderful photo site for the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC751)! I was inspired by THIS picture.

I started by stamping the fairy & masking her. A reverse circle mask was placed around her & I sponged in the colors for the blue planet. Then I placed the circle mask on top of it & used black acrylic paint over the entire area.

After it dried, I added some different blues above a circular line I drew to represent the planet she’s sitting on. White acrylic paint splatters were added for the starry sky. I stamped another fairy, colored & fussy cut her to add on top of the stamped one & I white embossed the greeting on the dark planet.

Here are the Copics I used:

Today’s Clean & Simple Challenge (CAS429) on Splitcoast asks us to “get techy” & show/use some kind of technology. I’m sure a whole lot of technology went into the space program.
In fact, growing up The Jetsons was one my fave cartoons & I couldn’t wait to grow up & have Rosie be my robot maid or have a flying space car or dinner from an electronic dumbwaiter in the wall. Hmmm…I’m still waiting!  But I do have George Jetson’s boy Elroy & his dog Astro on my card. The image was stamped, colored & fussy cut to add to a bg I made ages ago & near as I can remember, it was sponged w/ the distress inks then stenciled w/ white pigment ink. I stamped the image again on this bg in order to have the stars, which I colored in & added Wink of Stella. The cut out circle was added back w/ the greeting on top.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge on Splitcoast & I chose Lynne as the newest Featured Stamper (FS520)! Congrats, Lynne! I chose THIS card to case…keeping the birthday & big circle elements. But I used different images, different colors & different paper.
After stamping, coloring & die cutting the images, I also used oval dies to cut a ring to go around my little green planet. I figured little green aliens needed a little green planet, lol. Originally I was going to let the paper show thru the big circle cut out of the white, but it just overtook the little green alien so I cut the circle smaller & put it back to give a little more emphasis to the alien. The little blue stars were sprinkled around & the greeting was stamped below the spaceship.
