It’s the last day of the Splitcoast Dare to Get Dirty Challenges & I made this to fit a couple of the challenges..Janine’s Challenge & Polly’s Challenge. For all the details go to the Dare to Get Dirty Forum..but you’ll need to be a Fan Club member (click the blue link to find out how).

This is probably one of the quickest cards I’ve made in a while. The bg & white frame were already made & had been hanging around in my stash for quite awhile. If I remember correctly, I brayered the inside of the embossing folder w/ a rainbow ink pad then embossed it. Party Pig is the only thing I had to do. Just colored & cut him out. His hat was the only thing that didn’t come out right. Let’s just say…beware of Copics w/ the wrong caps on them. People who have watched me color have asked why I’m so quick to put the caps back on when I’m using them. This is why. If I leave the caps off, I seem to always get them mixed up. Oh well!

Here’s the inside & the Copics I used. (The green one was the culprit! Bad marker, bad marker!)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:

Stamps: DRS Designs: Party Pig (inside: Sweet BirthdayGo Hog Wild)
Paper: Staples 110# white
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Kaleidacolor spectrum
Accessories: Rubbernecker Rectangle Stitch diesCopic markers, sequins, Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder

It’s Dare to Get Dirty week on Splitcoast, so I’m combining Lydia’s challenge w/ the Featured Stamper Challenge. A big congrats to Pam, the newest Featured Stamper (FS652)! I chose THIS card to case. It started out to be more similar, but it went a little sideways when I decided to combine it w/ the DTGD challenge & chose THIS card of Cheryl’s as inspiration, mostly for the layers & colors. For all the details on the DTGD Challenges, go to the Dare to Get Dirty Forum.

My card is fairly simple..after coloring & die cutting the bird, I also die cut a pair of frames out of some coordinating colors of dp. I also die cut the big leaf branch & wove it over & under the frames. I also adde a few flowers to brighten it up. The fun birthday greeting was added below. I thought it went w/ this funny bird’s facial expression.

Here are the Copics I used.

This is for another Dare to Get Dirty Challenge. For all the details of the DTGD challenges, go HERE…but you’ll need to be a Fan Club member.

I finally finished a background I could live with for Lydia’s DTGD challenge. There are still several fails hanging around. And since the Free for All Challenge on Friday was birds, I colored this digi image & added it along w/ a greeting stamped on a chat bubble die cut.
Here’s the inside & the Copics I used for the bird.

Accessories:  Lil’ Inker stitched rectangles dies, MFT stitched arch dies, watercolors, fine tip sharpie, Penny Black chat bubbles dies, clear sequins

This was for another DTGD Challenge, the Color Challenge & also the Fan Club Christmas Challenge.

I used Copic markers & a gold Krylon on glossy paper to make my bg layer & the poinsettia petals. The greeting was stamped onto the brushed gold w/ the warm violet ink & heat embossed w/ a transparent sparkly powder. Then all I did was put it all together.
Here’s the inside.
