For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge we’re visiting Grandin Road & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS lovely clock image.
My card, I used a new clock stencil & sponged the reds & greens thru it. I used black soot to sponge the clock hands on it. After die cutting it twice w/ a pair of circle dies, I coasted the outer ring w/ gold ink & gold heat embossed it before putting it back. The greeting was also gold embossed using two greetings I put together. The pine green panel the greeting is on was die cut & I made it narrower by moving one side of the die in & cutting that side again. It’s bordered w/ narrow strips of mirror gold on either side.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

It’s my turn to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge & I chose Caron’s Beach House as the site. It has sooo many wonderful beach decor items! And since it’s pretty close to summer, I thought it would be perfect. THIS was the item that inspired my card.
To make my beach clock, I die cut the circles & on the smaller one, stamped & colored the chair & umbrella. The sandals, seagull & sailboat were drawn in w/ a multiliner pen & the bg was colored in. I inked the woodgrain bg w/ London fog & stamped off once before stamping across the scene, then I used a gray Copic to accentuate the board lines. The die cut numbers & clock hands were added on top. For the greeting, I stamped part of it & die cut the beach part. I had to die cut a few different words from the set then cut & paste them together.
Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Today we are taking another look at the Our Daily Bread designs November release! Don’t you love those fabulous stars images & dies? And the paper collections are beautiful! I used a medley of images & dies from this release and previous releases…I love to mix it up!
Considering the number of image sets & dies I used, I’m surprised it looks as clean as it does, lol. These images just seemed to say “emboss me” so I used some pearly metallic blue powder on the star, snowflakes & greeting and a silver detail powder on the clock because I didn’t want the clock quite as prominent as the snowflake star centerpiece.
I used the Ornament circle & Matting circle dies to die cut the clock and the two circles in the white & shimmer navy layers. The beautiful silver & white dp was die cut using the largest outer rectangle from the Flourished Star Pattern die. I love how it leaves the pretty pierced edge. The snowflakes were fussy cut after heat embossing and the greeting was die cut. Add a different greeting and I think this would make a wonderful New Year’s card, too!
