On my first card, I used The Earth, Vintage Pattern Mini 1,  the Circle Ornament dies and the ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2013.  After stamping the earth ornament and die cutting it, I added a die cut red bow, holly leaves and berries to the top. The left side of the cardinal paper was die cut and I added another die cut piece of red underneath to help define the border. The lt green/vanilla bg was stamped with Vintage Mini Pattern 1 and the green ink. The dk green is another sheet of the Christmas paper collection. I added a few die cut hanging stars to finish my 5.50 x 4.25 card.

    Supplies:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs – The Earth, Vintage Pattern Mini 1
Paper: vanilla, red linen, ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2013
Ink:  Distress Ink in fired brick, HA Field Greens
Accessories:  ODBD Circle Ornament dies, Spellbinders bracket border, Asian accents (dk green behind the ornament) & nested pennant dies, Memory Box precious stars die

Julie Warner - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.comOn my second card, I used 4 inks to pounce/sponge color on white c/s then stamped the 2 large ornaments of the Vintage Pattern Ornament set w/ Versafine onyx. I wanted a much smaller ornament so I die cut a smaller circle and w/ the die still in place, I stamped the Vintage Pattern Mini 1 inside then drew the border w/ a fine black marker. I added a few dots w/ a white gel pen for some contrast. On the 2 border strips, I stamped the Vintage Pattern Mini 1 & Vintage Pattern Mini 2 and attached them to the front of my 4.25 x 5.50 card. The greeting was stamped with a combination of  red & green inks. The two smaller bows are from the stars die cut.

  • Every Fallen Leaf

Interesting Color Challenge today on Splitcoast (CC447)! Chocolate Chip, Real Red & Bermuda Bay. Not a real easy combo to make a fall card, IMHO. I could see a Christmas card, but I needed to make a fall card. So…I used the acrylic block tech on the long strip down the left w/ the rich cocoa ink. Then I sponged the 2 blue distress inks getting darker as it went down until the bottom where I sponged more of the cocoa ink. Then I stamped the leaves with the red ink and added some white dots w/ a gel pen.

On the turquoise panel, I stamped the leaf background image with the tumbled glass then the sentiment with the red. On the leaves, I sponged the inks onto a white strip then stamped them w/ the cocoa ink and die cut. A big button and raffia bow were added above the leaves. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread designs August Release, here is the card I created using the Strawberries, Blue Ribbon Winner, Canning Jar dies , Fancy Foliage dies & Recipe & Tag dies. For more inspiration using the Augsut Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

For my card, I stamped and die cut the lg and sm canning jars, reverse masked them and stamped the strawberries inside and colored them with Copic markers. I die cut a recipe card and then moved the bottom of the die up to shorten it a bit. With the die in place, I sponged some lt green ink inside the die edge and stamped the Strawberries on the tab. The lg strawberries and strawberry border were die cut and colored with Copics. For the large background, I use the vine from the Fancy Foliage dies and embossed it in several places rather than die cutting it. I used a green Copic to add color to the leaves and vines. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
