Today we are taking a look back at the Our Daily Bread designs May Release! Don’t you just love all the dies, images and pretty papers?
For my card, I wanted to feature some of the beautiful paper in the Rustic Beauty collection, the Key to Heaven set and the keys from the Angel Wing die set. Since I don’t have the matching Glory set, I used the Morning Glory set which also fits perfectly with the papers. I stamped the morning glory frame, masking out the center, then stamped the sentiment inside. I stamped some extra morning glories to cut out and attach on top of the frame for more dimension. I kept the colors of the flowers low key to go with the paper, but I also added a little extra color to the flowers and leaves in the paper to better coordinate. Since the paper is 6×6 and my card is 5.50 x 4.25, I also fussy cut the lower section of flowers from the paper and added them in the lower right corner. The keys and key ring (a circle frame) were cut out of metallic gold paper and looped around one of the popped up morning glories.
The layers behind the morning glories and the paper were colored with Copics to coordinate with the papers and flowers. These are the Copics I used.

For my cards, I chose to use the Dream and Imagine die cuts words for my cards. On this card, I used the Dream die and the first thing that came to me was a Dreamcatcher. Somewhere I saw a dreamcatcher that had an owl for the centerpiece and the owl was so similar to this one, I thought this little owl would be perfect. I die cut him out of black and the solid owl version out of white. I also cut another detailed owl out of white paper to place on top of the solid backing so I could see where I wanted to color. After coloring the solid backing, I attached the black owl on top. I used some of the same markers to color a piece of white in bands before I die cut the Dream word. The feathers were stamped, colored and fussy cut. For the dreamcatcher, I die cut a sunflower and backed it with a circle die cut.

My second card features the Imagine die.

I stamped the Toadstools & Violets, colored them then die cut them using a little bit of my out of the box technique. I had some left over pieces of violet, lavender and rust that coordinated nicely, so I used the closest sizes of matting basic dies to give them a little polish. I die cut the Imagine, corners and top bracket out of white and added them for contrast.

Supplies:
Stamps: Serendipity Stamps – Toadstools & VioletsPaper: X-Press It white, violet, lavender, rust, grass green |
Ink: Memento tuxedo black |
Accessories: Copic markers, Serendipity Imagine, Floral Frame & Embellishement dies, Spellbinders labels 22, Matting basics A & B dies, neon yellow gel pen (for violet centers) |
My final card features the Floral Frame and Embellishments along with the larger Floral Dragonfly & Solid Dragonfly dies.
I had some spritzed, water colored background left over from another project with these bright red/orange colors so I die cut the dragonflies and Dream out of it. The larger background behind the floral frame was made by sponging on a variety of pink, red, yellow and orange inks. After I die the floral frame out of white, I used a slightly smaller square die to trim down the left over square center in order to leave some of the red/orange border around it. This card measures 5″ square.
