This is a fairly quick card for today’s Free for All Challenge (F4A426) & yesterday’s Ways to Use It Challenge (WT684) on Splitcoast. The first challenge has us fussy cutting & the second has us including bugs.
To make my card, I stamped the brick wall w/ gray ink then colored it w/ gray Copics. The sky was sponged w/ a self made cloud stencil. I decided it was easier to just stamp Mr. Frog on a separate piece, color him & fussy cut him than try to mask out the wall & the original log the frog sits on. I made a slit along the top of the wall to insert him & make it look like he was leaning on it. The little grass sprigs & ladybug were also fussy cut & added. The greeting was added on a thought/speech bubble along w/ some dragonflies.
Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

It’s my turn to host the Inspiration Challenge (IC644) on Splitcoast, and I went with a site suggested by my friend Kia…Carlyle Avenue. There was a lot of very interesting stuff there but ultimately, I went with THIS. I really liked the gold & the textured look of the wall behind the shadowbox.
To make my card, I started by using an embossing folder on the piece of kraft c/s then I sponged a little of lightning black ink over the high points. I wanted a little more gold, so I also went over it using a metallic gold Prismacolor pencil. Then I used the fringe scissors all along the edges & roughed up the fringe a bit.
All of the dragonflies & daisies were embossed w/ gold & fussy cut. I used Prismacolors on the 2 kraft daisies & left the white one uncolored. The white circular frame was die cut & the flowers added in & under.
Here’s a look at the inside. The greeting was stamped w/ the lightning black so it has a nice metallic look in person.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

When I think of sunflowers, I seem to gravitate toward a blue & yellow color palette. And it went that way here when I came across this blue & white striped paper then found the printed flower paper went so well w/ it. The Sunflower die was die cut a couple of times..once out of the flower pattern paper & once out of the blue stripe then layered as seen. I added a white scallop circle & yellow stitched circle behind it to add a little more weight. The papers were all die cut & layered & I added a yellow Dragonfly to the side of the sunflower. The two words were combined to make the greeting.
Here’s a look at the inside using some leftover pieces.
