    I
was so inspired by Doni’s gallery I made a second, very quick card for the Featured Stamper this week (FS364). This time I cased THIS card of Doni’s. I kept the layout and all the white space, but I used different images, different colors and made mine a Valentine instead of get well.

I stamped the jar, masking out the top, then stamped the heart flowers inside. After coloring with Copics, I added the ribbon like Doni did, but my greeting was smaller so I put it on a separate little strip and used a corner rounder on one end. I added some little rhinestones just ’cause I still get a little worried about all the white space 🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by! Congrats again, Doni!

Wow, what a fabulous inspiration site Audrie chose for the Inspiration Challenge (IC424) on Splitcoast! I could spend all day there. I went with THIS mostly monochromatic palette. I was inspired by the petals as much as the colors. I kept it CAS and used the sketch from Monday’s CAS Challenge (CAS255).

Most of the greeting was stamped on a piece of pink card stock( the rest is on the inside of the card) and I used a bracket border die to cut the lower edge as well the black layer behind it. Two of the flowers were stamped on a 5.25 x 4.00 white panel and colored w/ Copics. A third was stamped on another piece of white, colored and fussy cut. The pink & black bands were attached on top of the white panel and the fussy cut flower was added on top.  After edging w/ a black marker, the large panel was attached to my 5.50 x 4.25 card and these are the Copics I used (only 4, lol).

I’m so excited to be a guest for the Inspiration Challenge (IC423)! Audrie was kind enough to ask me and I love the site she chose! After browsing for a long while, I kept coming back to THESE vases. I just love the colors and curves so I tried to incorporate those in my card.

I cut a piece of white card stock then used a Spellbinders curved border die to divide it in 3 pieces. I had to turn the die a couple of times to get the piercing on the sides I wanted. The wide section I left white and embossed w/ a Chevron folder. The turquoise & red sections, I added the color w/ Copic markers. I attached them to a white 4 x 5.25 piece of white c/s. It’s wrapped w/ seam ribbon that I colored to match using the same red Copics. The greeting panel was die cut w/ a coordinating die and w/ the die in place, I added color using the same turquoise & red Copics, removed the die & stamped the greeting image w/ Versafine. I prefer Versafine for clear, dark stamping, especially when using clear stamps like these, but the ink doesn’t work well under Copics, so I colored w/ the Copics first, then stamped on top. The image layer behind it is a border design that coordinates w/ Labels 26. I added just a touch of color then cut it in half so I could pull the sides in & make it a bit narrower.

    I
added 3 little black gems to kind of balance things out. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used. Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com
