Weekly-FavoriteA big CONGRATS to Lynn (aka allee’s), the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast (FS310)!! This is well deserved and a long time coming! Lynn is a big participant in the daily challenges and a gallery favorite. Y’all will love her big, fabulous gallery. For my card, I chose THIS wonderful card of Lynn’s to case.  I love the masked strip and silhouette image so I kept those. I changed the images, added a horizontal sponged line (because it looked like my little boy was sitting on top of the water) and added an extra layer. I rarely work on the card front…for me, that’s just asking for trouble. Yeah, like I need more trouble, lol.

The images are all from Our Daily Bread designs. The silhouette and greeting are new, from a set called Little Boys. The large cattails are from the With Heartfelt Sympathy set. To begin, I masked the sides and sky are of the strip and sponged ink from the blue rainbow ink pad. Then I removed the sky mask and placed it over the water and sponged in the sun and sky using the birthstone & desert heat rainbow ink pads. After removing all the masks, that’s when I discovered my little boy looked like he was sitting on the water, lol. So I masked the sky again and sponged a green horizontal line using the fresh greens ink pad. After adding the sentiment, lg cattails and black layer my 4.25 x 5.50 card was finished.

Congrats again, Lynn, enjoy your week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Instead of a Valentine, I went with Baby card. There are several hearts on this fab Baby Collage, but I only ended up using one of them. There are so many wonderful images on this collage, you could use them as they are, or split them up like I did here.

I stamped most of the images on the collage a couple of times, colored them with my Tombow markers and cut them out. The bib, pins and pacifiers were strung on a length of Pepod twine with little bows tied on the ends. The other images were attached to a white panel I used two embossing folders on. Before attaching this to my 5.50 x 4.25 white card, I used four different colors of markers to edge it.  The sentiment was hand cut into a wavy banner shape and added a scap of the leftover (colored pink) behind it.

These are the markers I used on this card.

And my notebook with my left over scraps and color testing pieces.

    Weekly-Favorite

What an interesting site Stef chose for the SCS Inspiration Challenge today! After browsing all the fun designs, I chose the Geometric Colorblock Scarf for my inspiration. Love the color combo and graphic lines. I’m also including this in C4C21, to use pink.

For my card, I’m using the sentiment from Our Daily Bread designs Noah’s Ark set. I used my new Cricut to die cut the large hearts and stamped the sentiment on the pink one.

The sand colored strip was embossed w/ a button strip folder and the pink uses the Swiss Dots folder. The center strip is dp and all are matted w/ burgundy c/s. I punched some small hearts w/ two different size punches and added them. The wide ribbon is made up of two different ribbons attached together.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
