I have fun, very easy Halloween card that’s just the right amount of not so scary. All you need is this fab new Mummy die, a cheesecloth image and some white embossing powder. Add a punny greeting and you’re good to go!
A big congrats to Pia, the newest Featured Stamper (FS923)! She has a fun gallery and I chose THIS card to case. I kept mostly black & white w/ a face staring out, but I used dies instead of punches, made mine a Mummy instead of Frankenstein & heat embossed the background.
This card is really easy. For me, the hardest part was deciding what color to use for the background. I started w/ white on gray, didn’t seem to do it for me; tried white w/ gray ink, still not happy. So I tried white on black & that was it! I stamped the all over cheesecloth image w/ white pigment ink. I sprinkled on white embossing powder, then lightly brushed it away in areas. I wanted more of a worn look, rather than pristine. I backed it w/ a larger piece of black & cut just the band for behind the eyes out of black, then put the Mummy cover die on top. The greeting was made w/ a small alphabet die. I didn’t have a question mark, so I constructed it out of an S and an L.
The Mummy topper was attached to card board to give it strength & a little lift.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
