This is a Christmas card for the reader in your family or group of friends. This set has several book themed images & greetings, perfect for the avid reader. The background has a little more going on and I’ll explain how and what I did for it. All you need other than the set of stamps/dies, is a couple of stencils, some ink and some clear embossing powder.
For the Inspiration Challenge IC1028, we are visiting Colossal Shop & their Pinterest Board. THIS picture was my inspiration.
After coloring & die cutting the books & greeting, I die cut a large white background. I put a little removable tape on the back to hold it still, then color blended the entire piece with greens from the top down & blue-greens from the bottom up. Then I misted the Geometric Trees w/ water & placed it on top of the colored background, & ran it thru the embossing cycle. This lifted a bit of the color & left the trees the original color & also made them stand out a bit more. In person, they have a dimension you can feel. When this dried, I placed the Falling Snow stencil on top & used Versamark ink then clear embossed them. It looks nice & shiny in person! I added a narrow teal layer behind it, then attached the books & greeting.
Here are the Copics I used on the books:
