Today’s Ways to Use It Challenge (WT602) wants us to use Feet in recognition the reference to Hobbit feet in Tolkien’s The Hobbit. One of the first things I noticed on this zombie image was the feet on the left zombie. The second thing I noticed was the other zombie has no feet..actually no lower body, lol. And since it’s nearing Halloween & the filming for the TV series The Walking Dead is filmed in my area, I thought this card would be fitting.
The zombies were stamped on gray card stock (using my Misti) & colored w/ Prismacolor pencils. I stamped them again to bring back the details I tend to lose when using Prismas, then masked them & stamped the graveyard border behind them & the greeting below. Again, I used Prismas to add the shadows & a white gel pen to add the highlights on the headstones. Prismas were also used to add the moon & clouds & go over the panel edge.
Here’s a look at the inside.

This was made for my DTGD challenge & we’d love for you to join in so for all the details go to the Dare to Get Dirty Forum ..but you’ll need to be a Fan Club member. It’s sooooo easy!
While I can’t give you the challenge details here I can share how I made this card. These flamingos are so pretty & they begged to come home & live w/ me. I love birds so how could I refuse? I put them into my Misti, stamped them Memento, colored w/ Copics , added a few white highlights w/ a Prismacolor pencil, then over stamped w/ Versafine. After die cutting w/ the matching dies (well…they were a set!), I stamped, colored & fussy cut a bunch of hibiscus to add at their feet.
For the window scene, I die cut the octagon in white layer, added a slightly smaller black octagon frame then sponged the scene onto the white octagon I cut out. I used Prismacolor pencils to add the sunlight on the water & the surf at the water’s edge. The stamped, die cut palm tree (part of the flamingo set) was added & the greeting stamped between the flamingos. The little stitched black strip on the card front had to be added because I did what I do when I get in a hurry, & I scored the card front in the wrong place. So..I had to have something to cover the weird score line. 😉
I’m also adding this card to the Simon Says Wed. Challenge – Anything Goes!
Here are the Copics I used.

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge (FS494) on Splitcoast! So a big congrats to Jen, the newest Featured Stamper! I chose THIS card to case. I kept the coffee theme and layout, but I used different images, different colors, different papers & white embossed my navy “chalkboard”.
After die cutting the navy & designer paper panels, I white embossed all the coffee sayings on the navy & added a little die cut scallop border underneath. The two coffee cups were stamped w/ the Memento, colored w/ Copics & overstamped w/ the denim ink. The denim ink was the color I wanted, but this particular ink doesn’t play well w/ Copics, so I had to stamp w/ it after coloring. They were fussy cut & I also fussy cut a couple of sections of some of the printed paper to put on top.
Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
