  • Stripes & Hydrangeas

A birthday card featuring a two layer hydrangea w/ a watercolor look (no coloring required!) & a diagonal stripe card cover die. Change up the colors & greeting for any occasion.

The Inspiration Challenge this week is a place called Heirloomed & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS pic for my inspiration. I liked the stripes w/ the flowers.

I did cut the diagonal stripe cover die out of black & had a large white panel to go behind it. The hydrangeas are multi part images, w/ an outline part & solid part for the color. I used a couple of pinks & blues for one set & pinks & yellow for the other, then die cut them. I added stickles to the flowers then arranged them on top & inside the diagonal stripes. I thought it needed a little more color, so I added some blue behind a few on the bottom and some lt green behind a couple on the top.

The greeting was die cut & I used a pink marker to outline the edge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • Colorful Day

A bright card filled w/ colorful fuchsia daisies in a vellum vase. Perfect for a birthday, a special friend’s special day, Mother’s Day.

We’re visiting PMG for Two & their Pinterest Board for the Inspiration Challenge this week. So many pretty things there..I chose THIS for the very bright, colorful flowers.

I used 2 different sets of flowers for my fuchsia daisies. After coloring & die cutting them I added a sheet of very thin double sided adhesive to a small piece of lt blue vellum & die cut it. The centers of one set of flowers were too dark so I stamped & fussy cut the bigger centers from the other set & attached them on top. I arranged them then attached the vellum vase on top.

I had a narrowish strip of designer paper that had the colors I wanted so I used it on the left side & attached it on top of a bigger fuchsia panel. The greeting was stamped onto a white circle & added above the flowers.

Here are the Copics I used for the flowers:

  • Just Because

a “just because” card for a birthday, get well or just to say hi. Features a blue butterfly & split panel circle w/ die cut holographic leaves & flowers.

A big congrats to Kathy, the newest Featured Stamper (FS852). She has a big , beautiful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I liked the split panel circle in variegated shades & the butterfly w/ the die cut outline leaves, so I kept those. But I used different images, dies & colors & instead of gold I used holographic silver.

After I die cut the circle out of white, I laid strips of turquoise, teal & blue onto a piece of some Glad stick & seal wrap then die cut the same circle out of it. After peeling off the wrap, I cut the strips narrower to allow some white from the base circle to show through. The butterfly was colored w/ 3 Copics (BG07, BG10 & Bg23) & die cut. The leaves & flowers were die cut out of a silver holographic card stock & arranged under & on top of the circle.

I left most of the “insert” pieces inside the leaves just because. The circle was popped up w/ foam.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
