A big congrats to Shannon, the newest Featured Stamper (FS513) on Splitcoast! She has such a lovely gallery & I chose THIS to case. I was really intrigued by the Dendritic painting technique she used so I gave it a try. I kept that, & the wintry blues but used different images, a little different layout & added some fussy cut trees & snowflakes.
When I got ready to try this technique, I couldn’t find where I put my white acrylic paint, so I used some metallic white paint. The sheen makes it look more silver than white. I also used 2 pieces of stiff acrylic instead of glass. The acrylic paint dried really quickly, so I used a Versamarker over a few areas, sprinkled it w/ Stardust (clear glitter) embossing powder & heat embossed it. The trees & snowflakes were stamped on scraps of the same blue w/ white pigment ink & heat embossed w/ the same powder. Rudolph was colored w/ Copics & die cut w/ the matching die & on the greeting, I stamped it w/ midnight blue pigment ink & also embossed it.
Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used on Rudolph.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
