Mary will announce a winner on Aug 7 on her Blog.  Each month a different image is 50% off. This month- it’s the Airplane! On the first & third Wednesdays of every month., we’ll be celebrating with a Blog Hop!

To make my summer lighthouse card, I used a small piece of a Brushos watercolor background I had in my stash. After die cutting the white rectangle, I also die cut a large oval & placed the watercolor bg behind it. The Lighthouse was die cut once out of white & once out of royal blue & pieced together. The little windows were colored w/ a couple of yellow Copics. The Summer & lower part of the hello tag were also die cut twice each & stacked. I used the clouds from the Hot Air Balloon Reverse die & also a larger cloud on top of the Hello. I had the die cut frame leftover from something else, so I sponged on similar colors & added it behind the white layer.

Here’s a look at the inside. I left it blank for now, until I decide who it’s going to.

Next stop is Vickie‘s Blog!  Please be sure to comment on all the DT will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!

A big congrats to Mandi, the newest Featured Stamper (FS496) on Splitcoast! She has such a lovely gallery & I chose THIS to case. I kept the layout & color combo, but used different images, different dies & made mine a summer card instead of Christmas. This is also for Kathleen’s Dare to Get Dirty Challenge. We’d love for you to join in so for all the details go to the Dare to Get Dirty Forum ..but you’ll need to be a Fan Club member. It’s sooooo easy!

To make my popsicle card, I started w/ a piece of embossing folder stamped background & used part of it for my bottom section. Instead of inking the embossing folder, I sprayed it w/ several colors of shine sprays then closed the folder on a piece of white card stock. It wasn’t embossed, so it’s still flat. I used a curved border to cut the top section. After I put the two sections together they were embossed w/ progressively smaller sizes of the set of pierced rectangles dies. Only the largest layer was actually die cut..all the smaller ones were only embossed.

The popsicle was stamped, colored w/ Copics, over stamped w/ Versafine (to bring back the details) then fussy cut. I added some Wink of Stella on it for a little sparkle. The fuchsia borders were colored w/ Copics to match because I didn’t have any card stock to match. The greeting was stamped using the lilac posies ink.

Here are the Copics I used to color everything. NCC BLue Raspberry Popsicle copics 09645

To make my watermelon card, the big watermelon was stamped, colored & over stamped. I had the white die cut layer already there w/ the rectangle window cut out, so I made a black frame layer for it & attached it over the image. Parts of the two greeting were used and split up like you see. The checkerboard was stamped directly on the white layer & the fussy cut watermelon border was added on top.

I added some ants here & there because what’s a picnic w/o ants, right? I added a little black glaze pen to the watermelon seeds to make them shiny. Below are the Copics I used. Summer Watermelon copics 09646
