Today’s Limited Supplies challenge has us using all white w/ only one color of ink! The way I love color, this was really tough for me.

My first instinct was to go w/ gold, silver or red for the one ink color. Then I thought, I’ll go w/ a royal purple just for a change.

The JustRite image was stamped twice w/ the violet ink and I used a Spellbinders circle nesties set to cut three circles. I did run the ink pad around the edges, but I don’t think that counts as coloring. Hope not, anyway.

I cut a pendant and four extra fleur de lis out for the corners. The bg was embossed using a CB ornamental iron folder. I used my Scor-It to add an embossed border. Liquid Pearls were added on top in various areas. Finished card measures 5 x 5.

  • Candlelight Christmas – FS146

Congrats to Birgit, the Featured Stamper today at SCS!  What a wonderful gallery she has. Lots of inspiration, but I finally picked one way back on page 9,  Peace. Candlelight Christmas 3977

I liked the candle, the layout and the warm colors, so I kept those. I changed the images, left off the embossing and used twinkling H2O’s to add a little sparkle to my centerpiece.

All images are DRS Designs. I stamped the candle and the pinecone square (didn’t ink the square part, just the pine cone) and the candle on separate pieces of white c/s, colored them w/ markers then added some Twinkling H2O’s on top. I used the Out of the Box Nestie Tech to cut out the pine cone. The edges were sponged then  I cut around the top part of the pine cone and inserted the cut out candle.  It’s attached to a larger mustard circle.

I stamped the greeting using alabaster chalk ink around the edge of a dk red confetti circle and the pine bough image w/ redwood ink. I embossed a larger Nestie circle offcenter on a piece of mustard c/s. I sponged the edges and stamped a filigree snowflake repeatedly w/ the different ink colors.

I didn’t have the right color ribbon, so took this red/white ribbed ribbon and colored it w/ a dk ochre marker. I used a small Labels 4 shape folded in half for the tab and punched a faux brad to add on top.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

ink: Ancient Page coal, sunburst, redwood, Fluid Chalk alabaster

  • Happy Fall Tree

    Happy Fall Tree 3722a1
    Weekly-Favorite
It sure has felt like fall the last few days. It’s been downright chilly and the trees are showing some wonderful colors.

This card is for aColor Combo Challenge by Scrapmaster’s Paradise and it’s being sponsored today by DRS Designs! The colors for this challenge are Crushed Curry, Really Rust and Always Artichoke. What great fall colors!

I’m using a brand new fall image, L070 Spooky Tree w/Moon along with E580x Happy Fall One ‘n All, D701 Medium Silhouette Leaf and H618x 2Fall Leaf Background.

The tree was stamped on to vanilla c/s w/ the chocolate ink and I painted some bleach into the moon area. It was cut w/ a Spellbinders oval Nestie and a technique I came up with called Out of the Box Nestie. A little color was added w/ markers and after I edged it w/ the markers, I used a water brush around the edge to blur it.  It’s attached to rust and artichoke ovals.

The curry bg was stamped w/ the leaf background image and a combination of palm leaf and sienna inks. The edge was punched and it was attached to an artichoke layer w/ one rounded edge, then a rust layer.

Happy Fall Tree close up 3720acThe greeting was stamped w/ the chocolate ink, then I used an ochre marker to trace the letters.  Two leaves were stamped using the Kpad and cut out. I made two faux brads by using a 1/4″ hole punch on part of another stamped leaf and attaching them to pieces of punched cardboard.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the challenge!
