A big congrats to Jacqui, the newest Splitcoast Featured Stamper (FS748)! She has a fun gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the slimline layout & triple image arrangement. But I used different images, dies & colors.
All of the pirate/sea creatures were colored & die cut. The white panel was die cut & I cut a slightly larger cobalt blue panel & used a slightly smaller circle die to cut out the insides of the circles. I put the octopus inside a die cut submarine & added a palm tree on the right & just a hint of waves across the bottoms of the triple “portholes”.
Here are the Copics I used (I colored the whole pirate set, so there are a bunch!).
Thanks so much for stopping by!

It’s my pleasure to host the 1st Inspiration Challenge of 2012! And we’re to a site called Fancy. After a lot of window shopping, I chose THIS for my inspiration. I loved all the glittery sea color on the fish scale pattern & it reminded me of this slimline die.
For my very glittery & shiny card, I die cut the fish scale once out of silver mirror board & once out of a smooth white glitter card. Before I removed the glitter one from the die, I put tape on the backside to hold all the pieces together. Using Copics, I colored in some of the inside pieces then put the silver frame on top & some of the silver inside pieces. The fish & seaweed were also die cut & I added a little Wink of Stella on the fins. The silver mirror board is hard to stamp on, so I had to use Stazon for the greeting. For a little added sparkle, I put some stickles on top of the glitter pieces.

It’s my pleasure to host the first Inspiration Challenge of June (IC757)! And such an inspiring site we have w/ Design Pool & their Pinterest Boards. THIS is the picture that inspired my card.
I have a card today w/ most of the fish going one way & the one fish going the other. Doesn’t seem to bother him…he’s smiling! I think that’s probably me, lol. My mom always said I have a mind of my own & growing up, in order to get me to do something, she had to make me think it was my idea. Anyway, for my scene, I stamped the background fish w/ teal ink onto some turquoise paper that had been spritzed w/ a little bleach. I added just a touch of color to the fish. The main character was was stamped on white & fussy cut. I added a little stickles to him & to the stamped bubbles. The porthole was die cut (yay! I found a die that fit!). On the teal bg, I embossed it w/ a wave folder & some of it cracked, revealing the white core. So I just went w/ it & sanded off some of the high points to reveal the white.
The greeting was split w/ half on the front & the rest inside. Below it are the Copics I used.
