These colors may be a little different for a Christmas card, but I was using the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge (CC606) colors of bermuda, coral & island indigo. I also did a fun Turkish map fold for the inside, per the Technique Challenge (TLC609). If you want the directions for this fold, just click the link for the TLC (above).
As a rule, I don’t usually do fancy folds…apparently I am unable to follow directions..well, I CAN follow directions, I just don’t, lol. It always ends up being a reinvention of the wheel when I can’t stop myself from changing things. So, I did follow directions (mostly) for this one. Mine is a little bit (.25 inch) larger than the directions. And the fancy fold didn’t kill me, so that’s a definite plus. I had to resize the dies to fit a square card (instead of a rectangle), but that’s not too hard. Actually, the hardest part was refilling my ATG tape gun. Sheesh! I bought a case of refills & turns out at least half of them are wound wrong so they are useless. That part was not fun.
Here’s a look at the inside & how it looks folded flat. To me, it looks a little plain but I guess I’m not used to having to fill up that much real estate. Will have to work on that. Since the inside is copy paper, it does fold flat to fit into a regular envelope & it really isn’t bulky or heavy.
These are the Copics I used.

Today we are revisiting the beautiful Our Daily Bread designs June Release! Such lovely images, dies and papers! AND..today (6/20) is the last day to get FREE Shipping! So take advantage of it!!
For my somewhat involved layout, I used several pieces of the Blushing Rose paper. It’s so beautiful, it almost hurts me to cut into it. I also used a few leftover strips (couldn’t bear to waste it!) on some of the narrow inside panels. So as I’m sitting there, playing around with layouts, I devised a little different accordion card. The finished size still fits in an A2 envelope, but might need a little padding to protect that vellum rose. I’m pretty sure rolling up the vellum for that rose was the hardest, most frustrating part of the whole card. Vellum does not like to rolled! But I wanted a delicate looking rose to go with the papers. After rolling it, I sponged the edges with pink inks, added a pearl brad center and some vellum leaves die cut from the ODBD Zinnia & Leaves dies. I sponged them w/ the bamboo ink. You’ll also see a viney flourish from the ODBD Fancy Flourish dies cut out of a piece of the Rose paper. The front panel with the proverb is also from the Rose paper and was die cut with the large inset die of the ODBD Vintage Flourish Pattern dies. I cut the very front on a deep curve so it wouldn’t cover it up.
For the back panel, I stamped the Galilee Rose onto vellum using the olive ink and colored the back side with Copics. I attached it to an ivory paper then to the dotted green paper from the Blushing Rose.
On the back side of the folds, I added the narrow left over strips along with some die cut borders from the ODBD Beautiful Borders dies and some fussy cut roses from the Rose set.

Best of 2014!
Welcome to the June Challenge for Serendipity Stamps! This month the challenge is is Window Cards. The special at Serendipity Stamps this week is the ever popular 40% off coupon. Code “40fromhigh614” Good through 6/24. 40% off the highest priced item in your cart. The design team has the added challenge of making an accordion card with a window. You only have to make a window card. I love window cards…accordion cards, not so much, lol.
I’m pretty sure I should just call this the energizer bunny card. It just kept going & going & growing! With so much real estate on this layout, I never know when to stop adding things, which is really at odds with my need for a clean layout. For the basics…I cut a letter size piece of white card stock to 5.50 x 11. From the left side, I scored at 2″, 4.5″, and 7″….so my separate panels measure (from left) 2″, 2.5″, 2.5″, and 4″. I used these sizes because when folded, it measures 4 x 5.50 so it will fit in an A2 envelope. When closed, it looks like the picture above. When open, it looks like the picture below.
I stamped and colored the Lg Geranium and Sm Geranium, then fussy cut the larger version for the front, die cut the smaller for the inside window. For the inside panels, I die cut larger frames, a bunch of the corner elements and frame elements from Floral Frame & Embellishment dies. All of the backgrounds are panels I made by “stamping” with an embossing folder. I sprayed different colors of Heidi Swapp shine spray directly onto one side of an embossing folder, placed white card stock inside and pressed. I did not emboss these panels so they are completely flat but have the image of the folder on them. In real life, the sprays are so shimmery but so hard to capture with the camera.
The greeting was stamped on the largest Labels 28 on the last panel, die cut, and with the die still in place, I sponged on some Distress Ink spun sugar along the inside edges. The Serendipity die cut small butterfly and dragonfly were spritzed with the Heidi Swapp sprays and added to the two smaller inside panels.
