Halloween Gnome

Today, I have a cute little gnome all dressed up for Halloween. He has an adorable little Jack O’Lantern & he’s standing under a lavender tree wite a misty purple forest behind him. This is easy to make and I’d love to show you how.

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC985) we are visiting Fine Art Canvas & their Pinterest Board. I came across THIS cute picture & used it for my inspiration.

My card started with the tree cover die which I cut out of a lt lavender card stock. For the background, I used a white piece and sponged it w/ a lt lavender ink then used a mask I made by die cutting one of the spooky forest layers out of copy paper. Using it as a mask, I sponged on some darker purple inks along w/ a medium blue ink. The center section was left white and I used green ink across the bottom. A spider web, spider, bats & a white crescent moon were attached to the background before the tree cover was added.

A layer of cardboard was added under the tree cover as well as behind the colored & die cut gnome. A Jack O’Lantern was also die cut & placed for him to hold.

Autumn Flannels

My card today is full of everything autumn. Colors, falling leaves, sweaters, books, blankets. This was so fun to color and since all of them have coordinating dies, it came together quickly. Add a greeting and maybe a background of fall leaves paper and you are done!

A big congrats to Cindy, the newest Featured Stamper (FS922)! She has a terrific gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the fall theme & fall items floating around the card, but I used different images, dies, made mine A2 instead of square & changed the layout a bit.

After coloring & die cutting all the fall images, I cut a mid size white panel & stamped the greeting onto it. I added a narrow dk rust layer behind it, then attached to a large piece of designer paper. All of the images were popped up just a bit before I attached them to the card.

Hippo Halloween

Today, I have a Halloween card with a trio of super cute hippos all dressed up and ready to trick-or-treat. These little guys are easy to color and come with coordinating dies so this card comes together in a flash. Three sizes of the new narrow layers dies were used to cut the background rectangles.

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC981) we are visiting European Splendor & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS cute picture. It inspired me to have the stacked layers for the background & add the bat & dressed up hippos instead of cupcakes.

After coloring & die cutting the hippos, I added them to die cut card board to give them a little lift & stability. The 2 colors of orange rectangles were die cut using 3 sizes of narrow stitched rectangle dies. The greeting was stamped onto a white rectangle & added along w/ the bat & skull.
