    Spring Dogwoods 08801
    Weekly-Favorite
Today’s Sketch Challenge (SC586) has sort of a grid layout. I thought this paint chip down the side was a good representation of the divided side panels.
    Spring Dogwood cu 08803
This is a very quick card…I already had the white panel that the circle cut out of it so I stamped, colored & fussy cut the dogwoods to add in the opening. It’s backed w/ a chocolate panel that all I had to do was trim the length. The greeting was added in Versafine sepia ink & I used a bracket border die for the paint chip.

Here are the Copics I used.

Under the Sea 07323Time to Fly 06268Beautiful Lily 07263
The Our Daily Bread designs Anniversary Week continues! Today some members of the Design Team are sharing with you their own top 3 personal favorites from 2015! I’m anxious to see what everyone picked, aren’t you?

For my favorites, I tried to pick a variety & also some that didn’t use a lot of the same images the rest of the team picked. So while I may have a couple of other top faves, these 3 fit that bill.
    Under the Sea 07323
This is one of my favorites because it’s a little different & I just like the way it turned out. For all the details, closeups & inside, please click this title & it will take you to that post. Under the Sea.
    Time to Fly 06268
This is another I just liked the way it turned out. It uses one of my favorite techniques, embossing resist. I like the monochromatic color & mix of images. For all the details, closeups & inside please click this title. Time to Fly.
    Beautiful Lily 07263
My last favorite I like because of the unusual color combo & the slightly tricky way I had to handle the lilies & greeting oval. For all the details, closeups & inside, please click the title. Beautiful Lily.
Please be sure to visit & comment on all of the DT blogs..it will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!

  • Serendipity SSCB#53 – Dots/Circles!

    Feathered Hope cu 08574

    SS Button_design team_res
    Welcome to the March
    Challenge for Serendipity Stamps!
This month the challenge is Circles/Dots! You can get all the details over on the
Serendipity Challenge Blog.  We also have a new “Stamp of the Month”. Each month a different image is 50% off  & this month- it’s the To the World!. Be sure to check out the great deals on the Clearance Stamps! And as always, we have a gift certificate up for grabs to a random player. This is also for the Featured Stamper (FS474) on Splitcoast. I chose THIS card of Geni’s.
    Feathered Hope 08572
For my card, I’m featuring this pretty little Goldfinch with the Hope quote. The goldfinches at our bird feeder still have their winter coats on, but I except to see the males starting to look like this one again soon.  I put him in my Misti, stamped w/ Memento, colored w/ Copics then over stamped w/ Versafine. I used a grand label 4 to die cut mainly just the left side & the black mat behind him. For the right side, I repeated the stamp, color, over stamp (w/ a little masking thrown in) using the Small Dogwood then fussy cut down the left side of them to attach on top. The pink paper has the small dots for the challenge & I thought it went well w/ the image. After I stamped the quote (minus the Hope at the beginning), I stamped part of the goldfinch image on a separate piece, lined up where I wanted to place the Hope die
, cut it, backed it w/ 2 more cut outs to elevate it, then placed it on top in the corresponding place of the image. The quote was stamped again on another piece & I used the smaller of the flowers from the hydrangea punch to punch out the areas I wanted & also attached them in place. I added just a little stickles to the flower centers.

Here’s a look at the inside. I left it blank for now & below it are the Copics I used.
