Halloween Pumpkins

A fun, colorful Halloween card w/ some adorable dress up pumpkins, bright colors & a cute striped background paper cut w/ a piercing die of circles.

It’s my turn to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge and we’re visiting Reproduction Gallery and their Pinterest Boards where I was inspired by these 2 pictures. This and This.

After stamping, masking and coloring in my dress up pumpkins and cat, I die cut the panel and added a purple layer behind it. For the striped bg, I used a new Rubbernecker Halloween paper pack and used a circular piercing plate on it. Then another, very narrow purple layer. A few gems were added for sparkle.

Gold Pumpkin

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC828) we’re visiting The Stationery Studio & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS lovely picture. I really liked the look of the gold embossing on the maroon bg.

My card is all on the one maroon layer, so I did a bit of masking since all the images are separate. The maroon is actually a bit darker in person, & not quite so red. I started w/ the pumpkin, stamped & embossed it, then masked & stamped the cornucopia. After masking those, I stamped all the other smaller images & embossed them as well. The greeting is two, put together. The Thankful was stamped/embossed first, the I inked the Be letters (from You’re the Best) & taped over the rest so I wouldn’t stamp it & added it on top.

Pumpkin Truck

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC825) we’re headed to Perfectly Posh Boutique & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS picture for my inspiration.

My card started w/ die cutting the pieces for the truck & pumpkins then paper piecing them together. To make it appear that the pumpkins were in the bed of the truck, I attached them to the back side of the lower section of the truck then attached the top of the truck under the pumpkins. On the kraft colored background I used the 2 part plaid stencil & a combo of the two blue Distress inks. The color is much closer to the truck in real life.
