The fall color showing up daily has me in the mood for an autumn card. Today, i using a new wooden barrel die along with 2 different sunflower dies. The big ones are a new die set that creates really lovely sunflowers. Cut them out in your choice of colors then mix & match them. Instant autumn sunfower bouquet!
For the Inspiration Challenge (IC984) we are visiting Deluxe Modern Design & their Pinterest Board where I was inspired by THIS picture. All the yellow & the sunflowers had me thinking of this big sunflower die.
The big sunflower die set was cut several times out of 3 different yellows, a little dk brown, dk rust & some green for the leaves. I did the same for the little sunflowers. After die cutting the wooden barrel out of Kraft, I used a blending brush & some cinnamon ink to add some color to it. I also rubbed the ink pad over the high parts for more depth. I used a dk gray ink for the edges of the metal bands before attaching them. The edges of the sunflowers were inked w/ a little pumpkin & autumn inks. Then it was just a matter of arranging all the sunflowers in the barrel. It’s backed w/ a piece of scenic design paper.
Just so you’ll know, this is a slightly larger card since my barrel of flowers was so big. The actual card size is 4.75 x 6. The large green layer is 4 5/16 x 5 9/16 & the designer paper is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
