Merry Christmas Trees

A fun, colorful Christmas card featuring a lovely Christmas Tree cover die. Use any background, color or printed paper you choose and it’s sure to look great when cut with this die. Add a greeting and you’re done!

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge FS1028, so a big congrats to Martina! She has a really big, beautiful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the Christmas tree theme but used a cover die of trees instead of individual trees. Instead of a rainbow of colors, I used a green & blue w/ gold accents watercolor bg. I also made mine a standard A2 instead of a mini slimline.

To make my card, I first die cut the tree bg out of a watercolor panel I made a long time ago. I liked the colors & gold accents. I also cut this same die out of cobalt blue & brushed gold. The watercolor version was layered on top of the gold, a little below, then these layers were attached on top of the cobalt, also a little below, to give it a double layer shadow. A stitched frame was cut out of the same brushed gold as was a long strip for the greeting. I added a little wreath & some gold star tree toppers cut using a Winter Mini set. The little wreath & greeting were popped up one more layer.

Thanks
so much for stopping by!
