    Holiday Red cu 05296
    Weekly-Favorite
Today’s Inspiration Challenge (IC471) is for one of my favorite sites…Pendleton! We order from them frequently. For my first card, I chose THIS for inspiration. And since I really needed a couple of quick cards my hubby could send for business, both are clean & simple, using mostly (or all) die cuts.

    Holiday Red 05294
After die cutting then assembling the oval, rectangle & crochet border, the greeting was die cut out of white & added on top. The holly on the two corners is the only stamped, colored & fussy cut addition. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used for the holly.

    Holiday Red copics 05293
    Supplies:

Stamps: DRS Designs- Merry Christmas Pine Oval
    Paper:  Neenah white, red linen
    Ink: Memento tuxedo black
Accessories: Copic markers, Spellbinders A2 matting basics B, Radiant Rectangles (white pierced oval), Mega ovals & Happy Holidays dies, Cheery Lynn crochet border die, stickles

    Holiday Trees 05269
This card was inspired by THIS Pendleton item and took only about half an hour to make 🙂 No stamping…it’s entirely die cuts. The red/white polka dot is from a box of blank Christmas cards and the tree paper is from a 6×6 paper pad. I backed the die cut words w/ a scrap of textured white I had so they would show up better.

    Stamps: none
Paper:  textured white, red/white polka dot (Paper Studio boxed cards) tree dp (American Crafts – Jolly)
    Ink: none
Accessories:  Spellbinders A2 matting basics B, curved border dies, Memory Box happy holidays die

I’m adding one more card to this post for a challenge today for Virtual Stamp Night on Splitcoast. This is for Sabrina’s VSNDEC14E Get Your Skates On!

    Let it Snow 04170
This ice skates image is such a pretty one. On winter cards, I always look for ways to use it because I like it so much. And I think with the iced over pond in this image, they fit perfectly. I added some tops of pine trees in front of it so it would look like you’re seeing it through a window. And one of my favorite things…a pink winter sky. A few snowflakes, some sparkly stickles and the fun greeting finish it all. The card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
    Let it Snow copics 04169

    Supplies:

Stamps: DRS Designs- Christmas Village Pond, Ice Skates, Snow Background, Let it Snow, Address Label Trees, Pine Tree Snowdrifts
    Paper:  white pine green
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Ancient Page neptune
Accessories: Copic markers, Spellbinders petite oval & A2 matting basics A & B dies, stickles

  • Our Daily Bread designs December Release!

    Jingle Sled cu 05110
    Weekly-Favorite
Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs December Release! We have some wonderful new sets, paper & dies for you this month!

    Prize Information: –

Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $15 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the “stamps column” of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until December 2, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on December 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

    Jingle Sled 05108
On my first card, I used the fabulous Let it Snow set. This was such fun to color! After die cutting it, I added a dk red layer then a layer from the beautiful Christmas paper 2014 collection, then another dk red layer I cut using the largest die from last month’s Flourished Star Pattern die set. I used the gorgeous Peaceful Poinsettia dies to cut the poinsettia from the dk red, Christmas paper and white paper then layered them together. I also added some gold die cut flourishes and leaves from the Fancy Foliage die set. The greeting was stamped with the peony chalk ink and die cut using a circle die. The dk red circle was die cut using the circle from the Recipe Tag die set.The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used. I will mention here, that originally I used a few reds to color the bow…but then decided it was too red to go with paper so I used the blender to remove most of the red and added the pink.

    Jingle Sled copics 05103
    Supplies:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs – Let it Snow
Paper:  white, ODBD Christmas paper 2014 collection, dk red, metallic gold
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Colorbox dk peony fluid chalk
Accessories: ODBD Flourished Star Pattern, Peaceful Poinsettia, Fancy Foliage & Recipe Tag dies, Spellbinders A2 matting basics A & B, circle, labels 4, gold label 4 dies, Copic markers

    Stars & Stripes cu 05151
    Weekly-Favorite
On my second card, I used the new American Hero set to stamp my greeting in two colors and the coordinating Mini Tags die to cut it. I wanted the hole on both ends, so I cut the entire tag, embossed it, then flipped the die around to cut the hole on the other end. I embossed just this area so it would match. I colored 2 white mini brads w/ a dk red Copic to match the fabulous new Patriotic paper.
    Stars & Stripes05152
The largest star from the Sparkling Star dies was used to cut the star out of the striped paper and I backed this layer w/ the navy blue chevron paper. I also used two stars to die cut a white star frame to insert. The eagle was stamped and I used a red Copic to color some of his feathers. He was fussy cut and attached on top of the star cut out. The small stars (from the Home of the Free set) were stamped & die cut with one of the smaller star dies. I added a red, white & blue banner across the top with a fussy cut little flag in the center.
    Supplies:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs – American Hero, Home of the Free, Some Gave All, Patriotic Pennants
Paper:  white, ODBD Patriotic paper collection
Ink:  Distress Ink fired brick, Adirondack denim
Accessories: ODBD Splendorous Stars, Pennant Row, Mini Tags dies, Spellbinders A2 matting basics A & B, dk red & lipstick red Copic markers

I was very excited when I saw this nutcracker…I really love them and have a number of them I put out every Christmas. This guy just looked like a member of the Royal Guard so I used mostly red, white & blue on him.

    NCC RWB Nutcracker 05147
After stamping and coloring, I die cut the nutcracker and matted it with red. The striped paper is a new collection coming soon from Our Daily Bread designs. I die cut the right edge along with a white layer using a bracket border die.The front of the white card was embossed using the largest die of the ODBD Flourished Star Pattern set. I die cut and added all the little stars from the ODBD Sparkling Stars set. I used one of the triangles from the ODBD Pennant dies to make the fishtail on the greeting banner. The blue background was embossed and I used a white chalk maker to highlight the raised embossing. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.

    NCC RWB Nutcracker copics 05105
The second image for this release is the sweet little Snow Angel Murphy! I stamped Murphy twice, colored and die cut the circle ornament shape on one and colored and fussy cut Murphy on the other. I added a Santa hat from the Santa Claws set and the greeting from the Santa Paws set.

    NCC Snow Murphy 05163
I added a little sparkling snow glitter writer dimensional paint to the snow and fur on the Santa hat for some dimension and sparkle.
    NCC Snow Murphy cu 05162
The paper and snowflakes are from Our Daily Bread designs. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.
