Mirror Flowers


It approaching birthday season here. So many during late spring and summer that I’ve been making a bunch of them. This one features a glass vase of flowers in front of an oval mirror. A green layer backs it all with a inset lattice die down the left side.

For the Inspiration Challenge IC1058 we are visiting Barn & Bunkie where I found THIS picture for my inspiration.

To make my card, the vase of flowers was colored, die cut & popped up one layer. The mirror was made by die cutting the long oval out of mirror silver & the scallop oval behind it out of black then attached together. The white panel behind them was cut down the side with a lattice inset die. This inset die was a little longer than I wanted & I knew I wanted to put the green piece behind it & have it show around the outside edges, so I used a pair of rectangle dies to make a very narrow frame & trimmed off the excess. Then everything was put together & the die cut greeting was added at the bottom.
