Today I have an easy, water colored vase of flowers with a multicolor wordy background showing through a pair of circle cut outs. The flowers were stamped onto a loose watercolor background. Not too much planning involved, so that makes it easy. Great for those spring & summer birthdays.

A big congrats to lencikvredniy, the newest Featured Stamper FS992. She has a gorgeous little scrap page gallery & I chose THIS page to case. I kept the circle elements, the flowers along the side and little words in black. I moved the circles, the greeting & the flowers to the opposite side. I also made a card instead of a scrap page.

For my card, I cut a piece of watercolor paper slightly bigger than the image. Using the image as reference, I floated in some Brushos onto the damp paper. After it dried, I stamped the image with Versaclair nocturne, since it is highly water resistant. I lifted a bit of the color in the area above the blue water. It was die cut & popped up 1 layer. While I was picking out a color to go under it, I found a piece of pale yellow w/ these 2 circles cut out & I cut the outside with a large rectangle die. I used more circles to cut black mats to go inside them. (The Stitch Dot circles were used for the inside cut as they have a tighter radius than the plain circles.)All of the birthday words were stamped onto a piece of white in different colors & attached behind the yellow. The black greeting was die cut & added in the larger circle window. The wordy white layer was edged with a black marker before everything was attached to the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
