Watercolor Love

It’s my pleasure & my turn to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC713)! And we’re headed off to Wool & Honey..mainly a yarn site but they also have some really cute gifts. I love to knit so this place really spoke to me. For my card, I was inspired by THIS magazine. I really love the white plants on the watercolor bg.

Originally, I was going to mask the shape of the die cut, then watercolor the bg. But it just didn’t work out like I wanted so I went to Plan B where I watercolored the bg then added the die cuts on top. I misted the w/c paper lightly, sprinkled on 4 green & blue colors of Brushos crystals, then misted heavily. After I dried it, I stacked a white die cut slightly offset onto a matching black version to give it a little depth. The greeting was white embossed onto the black strip.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
