Birch Forest

X5!

We have a really wonderful site for the Inspiration Challenge this week..Fine Art America. I had a really hard time choosing, but finally went w/ THIS picture.

I didn’t have any fox images or dies (will have to see about that!), so I used a deer family die instead. I die cut them out of sand colored c/s then used Prismacolor pencils to add a little color to them.  The snow hills & birch trees were cut out of white & shaded w/ Prismas. On the lg black bg, I splattered it using a paintbrush & some white acrylic paint. Usually, I like to have a greeting on the front & it feels a little odd not to have one & not to use any stamps at all, but I guess I’ll get over it  😉

Here’s a look at the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Such a stunning card! I love that you shared how you got the look simply by die cutting and colouring. This is a beautiful card and does not need a sentiment on the front, but I know what you mean.

Julie, I happened to see your card (went down a rabbit hole first) with the deer and the birch trees which I love. Also, found a card you called Merry Deer and I have a question for you. Is the frame popped up or did you squeeze in the deer between 2 sets of birch trees? You have beautiful cards which I plan to see all of them. Thanks!
