The Technique Challenge (TLC572) on Splitcoast today involves a pleated skirt made of paper. The instructions were not hard, I just made it harder on myself because of orientation of my image..so I had to reverse the side of the pleat & make is shorter to fit.Â
After I stamped, colored & die cut Paddy Bear, I colored a narrow cut off piece w/ the same green Copics & added it to the upper right. I used a piece of the marigold c/s to make my pleated skirt. It’s attached to a piece of white on the reverse side & I stamped it w/ little shamrocks using the marigold ink. I also used a dot embossing folder & curved border die to cut most of the lower edge. The two ribbons were also colored to match & attached on top of the pleated skirt. A little Wink of Stella was added to all the shamrocks.
These are the Copics I used to color everything.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

What a cute little St. Paddy’s Bear! Beautifully colored and the layout of the card is awesome – love the pleated skirt addition. Great card Julie!
Oh, you tried the pleated technique. That’s something I want to try too. Cute card. I especially like the sentiment. Great colouring as always.
