A big congrats to Kristine, the newest Featured Stamper (FS791) on Splitcoast. She has a beautiful gallery & after much browsing, I chose THIS to case. I kept the cute dog theme but ended up changing most everything else. I used different stamps, dies & colors & used fewer layers w/ no designer paper.
After coloring the cute dog couple, I die cut them along w/ a few extra blanks in order to pop them up a bit. The kraft bg was stamped w/ a cheesecloth bg & cinnamon ink. I wanted a narrow, dk brown layer behind the dogs, but didn’t have the right color so I used a Copic marker to color just around the edges that would show before attaching it. The outline heart was also colored w/ Copics & I used a clear glaze pen to add some shine & dimension to the tiny hearts above the greeting & also the dogs’ eyes.
These are the Copics I used:

It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge (FS785) this week so a big congrats to Lynn! After much browsing, I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout & black/white color combo, but I used different images & dies, added an embossed strip instead of the herringbone & added a touch of red.
My CAS card started w/ stamping the white cat, masking her & stamping the gray cat. I did a little out of the box to avoid cutting of the kitties’ tails when die cutting them. I added a narrow silver glitter border then a larger red one. The black strip was embossed w/ a tiny heart folder & I added more silver glitter strips on either side.
Here are the Copics I used:

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC806), we’re headed to a watercolor Pinterest Board where I found THIS lovely portrait. I don’t have a child’s face image so I used Jacqueline, instead.
I put a piece of watercolor paper into my Misti & stamped her w/ Morning Mist versaclair ink..it’s a dk grey so it’s not as high contrast as black. I used some soft teal & soft peach watercolors & a lot of water to paint the panel. I didn’t even mix the color..it was some that was left over in my palette & I liked the colors. When it dried, I stamped the greeting across the left bottom corner & used a pen to add the XOXO. In my head, I saw it as a stylized glamor portrait that the sender would autograph.
