Welcome to the October Challenge for Serendipity Stamps!
This month the challenge is Anything Goes! You can get all the details over on the Serendipity Challenge Blog. October’s “Stamp of the Month” is 50% off & this month- it’s the Pumpkin Border! Be sure to check out the Yard Sale items and the great deals on the Clearance Stamps! And as always, we have a gift certificate up for grabs to a random player.
Since the challenge is Anything Goes, I went w/ a Thanksgiving card featuring a wonderful Pumpkins & Sunflowers collage image. After pulling out some autumn colored paper, I put the image in my Misti & stamped it onto ivory w/ the rhubarb ink, colored it w/ Copics, then overstamped w/ the Versafine. I quickly coated it w/ the embossing powder & heat embossed it. I love the richness the embossing added. It was die cut & attached to one of the papers. The larger paper was also die cut…I liked the little harvest element in the corner so I made sure to leave it.
The little Thanksgiving was also heat embossed & the Happy was die cut out of some of the same papers, but it the color wasn’t quite strong enough so I colored over it w/ the E07 Copic & attached it to an ivory version, slightly offset. I also added an embossed maple leaf that was fussy cut.
Here are the Copics I used..I went w/ more subdued colors to match the paper I used.
Please be sure to comment on all the DT blogs..it will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!
