For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC854) we’re visiting a Pinterest Board called The Postmans Knock where I found THIS picture.

I wanted a watercolor look to my branches so I put a die cut piece of water color paper into my Misti to allow me to stamp the same branch w/ different shades of inks. On the first impression, I misted the branch w/ a little water. After stamping w/ 2 or 3 colors, I also used some water based makers to add a little more depth to the leaves. The greeting was stamped on a separate piece of w/c paper along w/ the butterfly. I used a water brush to spread the ink colors inside the butterfly then stamped it again using the darkest of the teal inks. I repeated this on a scrap of w/c paper & cut that butterfly out to pop up on top of the base image. The greeting layer was popped up on top to give some dimension.

Stickles was added to the butterfly & gems attached on the branches.

It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge (FS776) this week, so a big congrats to Jo Ann! She has a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the umbrella & watercolor bg, but used different dies, colors, layout & made mine a get well card.

My card started w/ a small piece of a leftover watercolor bg. It reminded me of a rainy day & I thought it would go well w/ my umbrella die & get well theme. I popped it up a bit & backed it w/ a lg pink layer. The white frame was made by die cutting it first w/ the stitched layer, then using a smaller die to cut out the center. It’s also popped up. I die cut the umbrella using a piece of white (for the narrow layer) & a lg paint chip that had several shades of pink. Only the center of the top part is elevated.

It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC796), & the site I chose is Freepik. There is a ton of inspiration in all the pictures & designs & after much browsing I chose THIS as my inspiration.

For my card, I started w/ a die cut white panel & masked off the edges & sponged the lt aqua ink over it. I die cut a mask (see pic below) & used to sponge in the bokeh bg over the aqua. A few lighter circles were added using Distress picket fence ink. I added the white zig zag frame, then stamped, die cut & shaped the daisies. The partial greeting was stamped & the Hugs was triple stacked for dimension. I die cut a couple of different sizes of the mixable flower stack to use as flower centers then added a little stickles in the yellow centers.

Here’s the pic of the die cut mask I used for the bokeh bg.
