A mini slimline cuckoo clock card w/ a fun greeting for a good friend. The greeting set has a lot of “time” greetings for every occasion.

It’s my turn to host the Inspiration Challenge (IC909) & we’re visiting the National Postal Museum & their Pinterest Board. I was inspired by THIS stamp.

My mini slimline card started w/ this really cute cuckoo clock add on die for the garden shed. I die cut the body of the clock out of some gray/white streaked paper then embossed it w/ a woodgrain folder. The paper is double sided so I used the flip side for the round clock face, the bird & the open door of the cuckoo part. I used a dk red for all the accent pieces & some grey woodgrain patterned wrapping paper for the layer behind the white front.

The greeting was stamped below the clock. The clock was popped up just a bit.

Thank so much for stopping by!

  • Birthday Owls

A cute mini slimline birthday card featuring some colorful owls. Easy to make using the new images, dies & paper from Rubbernecker.

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC898), we’re visiting Velvet & Linen and their Pinterest Board where I found THESE lovely glass bottles.

My colorful little owls were all colored in happy colors & die cut w/ their matching dies, as were the balloons. The banner was fussy cut & popped up just in the middle. The card is a mini slimline & I used a regular slimline die for the purple panel & made it shorter by cutting it mid way then moving up the opposite end of the die & cutting the rest. A mini slimline circle inset was used for the triple windows.

I used 2 patterns of the new Party Time paper: one w/ colorful dots to go behind the owl windows & a second w/ the birthday words for the background. The little pink owl was also popped up.

Here are the Copics I used:

  • Joy Tree

A big congrats to Pat, the newest Featured Stamper (FS826) on Splitcoast. She has a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout w/ the split panel, but used different dies, slightly different colors & instead of a split negative I elected to add a gray shadow layer under the white on the white panel.

On my card, I used a piece of dk grey designer paper w/ little images instead of the black panel Pat used. I die cut the tree & snow out of white then added a grey shadow layer under the white on the white side panel. The random dots were stamped w/ a lt grey ink & I added a cardinal & 2 ornaments on the tree. The die cut Joy was added above the rest of the stamped greeting. all in all, a fairly quick CAS Christmas card.

Thanks so much for stopping  by!
