Thought You Knew



Ready for a change from Christmas cards? I love making them all year long, but occasionally I do need some birthday cards. Here’s a snarky, yet cute card that is sure to make the recipient smile. I love this bird set , the looks on their faces are priceless. And this card works great for masculine as well as feminine cards.


A big congrats to Ida, the newest Featured Stamper FS934! She has a lovely gallery and I chose THIS card to case. I liked the layout, so I kept that, but I used different images, dies & paper. Instead of an embossing folder, I used a quilted look die for the background.

After stamping, coloring & die cutting the bird & balloon, I found a strip of designer paper to go with it.  I used a narrow stitched rectangle to cut it, but I used my resizing trick to make it longer. I added narrow cobalt blue strips to the sides & a large one for the background panel. The white panel was die cut first with a stitched rectangle & then with a quilted die before attaching to the blue one with the designer paper strip off to the left side. The bird & balloon were popped up for dimension.
