North Coast Creations August Release!

Welcome to the North Coast Creations August Release! We have some super cute new images & dies & a sweet collection of paper, as well.

My cupcakes card was made by stamping then die cutting a bunch of cupcakes (on copy paper) to use as masks. I also die cut a few more, leaving some space around them, to use as reverse masks. The reverse mask was placed in the lower center of a piece of white card stock then the pink & teal colors were sponged thru the mask, the mask was removed & the cupcake was stamped on top w/ black ink. One of the masks was placed over it & the process was repeated (w/ different ink colors) for the surrounding cupcakes. Just a couple of Copics were used to create the shadows underneath.  If you look below (click any image to enlarge), you’ll see the masks & reverse masks I made & also the inside of the card where I repeated this cupcake masking/sponging/stamping. I finished the card w/ a layer of lt teal from the Sweet Shoppe paper & a scrap of leftover dp & a cute little Bow out of the same teal.

This Donuts card uses images & dies & papers from the same Sprinkled with Love set as the cupcakes card. The images were all stamped, colored & die cut as shown. I used one of the Leafy Edged Borders to cut away the bottoms of the white & green layers after die cutting them w/ Pierced Rectangles dies.

Below is the inside & Copics I used to color everything.

For this blue Camper card, I stamped, colored then die cut the RV w/ a Double Stitched Rectangle die. Then I die cut the outer stitched rectangle w/ Rectangle die & colored this frame to match the RV. On the background, I stamped the RV repeatedly & left them uncolored.

Below is the inside & the Copics I used.

I used the same Camper set for this card. The papers are from the Old Glory collection & I used Pierced Rectangles & Pierced Circles to die cut everything. I fussy cut the RV to add it on top. The blue edged hills were hand cut & sponged along the top edges. The greeting was added to the top portion of the Surprise Box insert die.

Below is the inside & next to it are the Copics I used.

This card uses the S’More Love set/dies & the Sweet Shoppe paper along w/ a piece of orange from the Birthday Brights collection. The campfire, hearts & marshmallows were all colored & die cut & because I thought it matched the greeting, I drew simple little faces on the marshmallows. I added a die cut Pegboard out of kraft paper on top of a piece I colored in bands using the same Copics I used for the flames.

Below are the card inside & Copics I used.

On my last card, I again used the S’More Love set/dies but after die cutting, I arranged the elements on a black background. The greeting was stamped once w/ white Brilliance ink then overstamped (it was in my Misti) w/ Distress oxide ink (fossilized amber). The background was made using the oxide inks & a spray bottle of water.

Below is the inside.

  1. WOW! Julie! Your cards are so full of life and gorgeous color! And I love the little faces you drew! I almost did that too! Adorable!

  2. Cute, cute, Julie! Love the cupcakes! Look good enough to eat! Great design on all!

  3. Wowza, you’ve been a busy beaver. I love your colouring–it’s top notch. Even though cupcakes have been “in” for years, I never tire of them and love what you did with yours. I’m leaving for a three week vacation to the east coast here in Canada, so I won’t be able to leave messages for you 🙁
